Local
Info and Attractions:
Region
Langenargen and Lake Constance: Langenargen is a village in the
district of the Lake Constance (or “Bodensee”). With a population of
around 7500 habitants is Langenargen a very attractive place for
tourism, vacation and living. Our conference centre, the castle
Montfort, is one of the principal attractions in the region. From the
restaurant and the balcony you can see the north face of the Alps of
Switzerland and Austria. Just few meters from the castle you can take a
regular boat and discover the Lake and its main attractions.
Some Tips for your journey in our region:
- Meersburg
is a small town located at the German site and direct to the lake.
There you can try a wine glass enjoying the medieval castle and
environment.
- Friedrichshafen
is the home town of the Zeppelin. You can discover the Zeppelin history
by visiting the Zeppelin Museum and/or flying with the Zeppelin NT.

- Insel
Mainau is also called “Flower Island” because of its parks and gardens.
The island is one of the most famous tourist attractions on the Lake
Constance. You can reach the island by boat over Friedrichshafen and
Meersburg.
- Island
Lindau is the only Bavaria city at Lake of Constance. This small city
located directly at the boards of Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Its
medieval town centre is located around the harbour. This
- Karren
is a mountain in west Austria and is about 40 Minutes far from
Langenargen by car. You can drive with the gondola to the top of the
mountain, and then enjoy the nice view of the Switzerland and Lake
Constance by a lunch in their restaurant. After lunch you can walk back
to your car (about 90 Minutes walking) and also visit the Rolls Royce
Museum.
- Silvretta
is a mountain range located in the Alps at the Austria and the Swiss
borders. The pass road (Silvretta Hochalpenstraße) at 2023m is known by
the 007 Film “Quantum of Solace”. The pass road is about 80 minutes far
from Langenargen by car.
